More About The Farm Cafe

At The Farm Cafe, we’re focused on providing dignified access to locally sourced and prepared meals.  We also provide skill building, employment, training, and volunteer opportunities in a community sensitive to individuals who live with food insecurity, mental health and other barriers to employment. Work in our gardens provides an understanding of what we grow locally and garden therapy. We purchase from local suppliers (at least 75%) and prioritize creating sustainability for local farms and food businesses.

Our vision of a community nourished by locally sourced and prepared food, has been significantly strengthened by the partnership with NSCC Annapolis Campus. NSCC provides infrastructure support and the integration of student work into our operations. Farm to Feast Cafe is working with the Senior Management Team to determine a way to build similar models in other rural campuses across the province. Both the kitchen and garden work will enable our clients to develop skills to grow their own food, while growing and making food for market. See our Community Page for more information on our programming, events and community partners.
